Refund Policy
Effective 14 October 2026. This policy forms part of our terms of service.
Payments to Reoptimize are not refundable, apart from the three cases in section 3. Try the page analyzer on the homepage on one of your own URLs before you buy, compare plans on the pricing page, and switch off renewals from your workspace whenever you want.
1. What a payment buys
A Reoptimize plan is a monthly or yearly subscription to the platform, with the monitored pages, rewrite plans and seats listed on the pricing page. The fee covers access for the period, and that access starts in full the moment the period is paid. It does not depend on how many pages you connect, how many rewrite plans you open, or whether you log in at all.
By subscribing you ask us to start the service immediately. Where a statutory right of withdrawal or a cooling-off period would otherwise apply, you accept that it no longer applies once we have started at your request.
2. Situations that are not refunded
None of these leads to a refund, whole or partial.
- Rankings, clicks or traffic that did not recover after you applied a rewrite plan. Search engines decide results, as section 5 of our terms explains.
- Recommendations you disagreed with, did not apply, or applied only in part.
- Pages that could not be fetched because they sit behind a login, block crawlers or were taken offline.
- Connecting fewer pages than your plan allows, or not using the account during a paid period.
- Changing your mind, losing a client, or pausing a content project.
- Choosing a larger plan, a longer term or more seats than you turned out to need.
- A renewal that went through, including one collected after earlier attempts failed.
- Assuming the plan was a one-off payment. Every plan renews automatically, which the pricing page, checkout, confirmation email and workspace all state.
- Forgetting to cancel before the renewal date, or cancelling right after it.
- A feature that is not on the pricing page, or that works differently from what you pictured.
- Time left in a period after you cancel or downgrade. Periods are never pro-rated back to you.
- Someone else using your account, including a teammate or freelancer you shared a login with.
3. The only exceptions
We refund only when one of the cases below applies, only when the records in section 6 support it, and only up to the charge involved.
- Duplicate payment. Our billing charged you twice for the same period.
- Unauthorised payment. Your card was used without your consent, you tell us within 14 days, and our records and those of our payment operator confirm it. Saying so is not enough on its own; the evidence decides. We may ask you to confirm that you have reported the misuse to your card issuer.
- Total service failure. A confirmed fault on our side left Reoptimize completely unusable for a continuous period, you reported it to us while it was going on, and we could not fix it. Slow analysis, one tool misbehaving, or a problem with your own browser, network or website does not count.
Any approved refund is capped at what you actually paid for the affected period, goes back to the original card, and is our entire liability for that charge. One approved refund does not create a right to another.
4. Making a claim
Email [email protected] within 14 days of the charge, from the email address on your account. Include the date, the amount and which case in section 3 you rely on. Claims sent later or from a different address are not considered. We work through claims in the order they arrive and do not reopen ones we have declined.
Filing a chargeback without first contacting us breaches our terms, and the account is closed permanently.
5. Renewals, retried charges and cancelling
Plans renew automatically at the end of each month or year until cancelled. Use Billing and cancellation in your workspace; you do not need to contact us. Cancelling stops all later renewals and keeps your monitored pages and rewrite plans available until the paid period ends. It is not a refund request.
As soon as a new period begins, access to it is granted and its payment is due. If your card issuer declines the charge, our payment operator retries it over the next few days. Each retry collects the same open invoice and is not an additional charge. Cancelling while retries are running stops future renewals but does not cancel the amount already due, and a renewal collected late is as final as one collected on the day. To avoid a renewal, cancel before the date shown in your workspace.
6. Records we keep
When you create an account you accept our terms of service, including this policy, and our privacy policy. Checkout shows the plan, price, billing period and automatic renewal before any payment is taken.
For each subscription we keep the purchase time, the plan and price displayed at checkout, your acceptance of the terms, the emails we sent, renewal notices and a log of account activity, such as sign-ins, pages connected, analyses run and rewrite plans opened or exported, with the technical details logged alongside them. Our payment operator keeps its own transaction record, including the card's issuing country, where the payment came from and the outcome of bank authentication such as 3D Secure. We assess unauthorised payment claims against these records and send them to your bank if a chargeback is raised.
7. Earlier purchases
Subscriptions bought before 14 October 2026 remain under the terms in force at the time of purchase until their current period ends.
