How to check on page SEO for a page, step by step

  1. Confirm the target keyword. One page, one primary query. If you cannot name it, the page cannot be scored.
  2. Read the live SERP like an editor. Open the top five results. What question are they answering, in what order, in what format? That is the bar.
  3. Check the title against intent, not length. A 52-character title that promises the wrong thing loses to a 61-character title that promises the right thing.
