Nothing in that table is a trick. Surfer, Clearscope, and Frase are good at what they are for, and if your growth comes from publishing new content, buy one of them. The reason this page exists is that none of them is designed for the job below.

The job nobody sells you: the library you already own

Almost every tool in the category optimizes the article you are writing today. Meanwhile the two hundred you published between 2021 and 2024 are decaying: titles that stopped matching intent, subtopics competitors added, statistics that date the page, internal links that thinned as the site grew around them.
