Conductor Pricing: Conductor SEO Pricing, Plans, and Cost
Conductor pricing is quote-based. Its pricing page lists three plans, Essentials, Growth, and Enterprise, with published usage limits but no dollar amounts, and describes a usage-based model rather than per-seat pricing. Buyer transaction data on Vendr puts the median Conductor contract at about $49,000 a year, with most deals between $30,000 and $150,000. Budget for an annual enterprise contract, not a monthly subscription.

Conductor plans and limits at a glance
The limits below are copied from Conductor's own pricing page. Conductor does not print a price next to any plan: Essentials has a "Try for free" button, Growth goes through a demo request, and Enterprise through sales.
| Limit | Essentials | Growth | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tracked websites | 3 | 5 | 10+ |
| Tracked keywords | 500 | 5,000 | 60,000+ |
| Tracked competitors | 5 | 25 | 75+ |
| Pages analyzed | 1,000 | 25,000 | 125,000+ |
| Pages monitored | 100,000 | 500,000, 24/7 | 24/7 for sites of any size |
| Writing Assistant drafts per year | 60 | 180 | 600 |
| AI Search credits per year | Not listed | 2,500 | 2,500+ |
| How you buy | Try for free | Request a demo | Contact sales |
Two things stand out. First, the monitoring numbers are huge even on Essentials: 100,000 monitored pages is more than most companies own. That is the technical monitoring Conductor got when it bought ContentKing in 2022, and it watches for changes and issues around the clock. Second, the writing allowance is small and annual: 60 Writing Assistant drafts a year on Essentials works out to five a month, and 180 on Growth to fifteen a month.
How much does Conductor cost per year?
Conductor does not publish prices, so the best public evidence is buyer transaction data. Vendr, which negotiates software purchases for companies, reports a median Conductor contract of about $49,020 a year, with typical contracts from $30,000 to $150,000 or more, and mid-market deployments landing between $40,000 and $70,000. Other buyer guides quote a wider range, starting in the mid $20,000s for small deployments and running well into six figures for large enterprises.
| Deployment | Typical annual cost (buyer data) | Monthly equivalent |
|---|---|---|
| Smaller deployment | About $30,000 | About $2,500 |
| Median contract | About $49,000 | About $4,100 |
| Mid-market range | $40,000 to $70,000 | $3,300 to $5,800 |
| Large enterprise | $100,000 and up | $8,300 and up |
Treat these as ranges for a budget request, not quotes. Your number depends on how many websites, keywords, and monitored pages you need, which modules you add (AI search visibility, writing, monitoring), and the contract length. Vendr notes that terms of one to three years are standard and that multi-year commitments and prepayment are the usual levers for a discount.
What drives Conductor SEO pricing up or down
Because Conductor sells on usage, the quote is shaped by a handful of inputs. Knowing them before the first call helps you ask for the plan you need instead of the one you are shown.
- Number of websites and markets. Essentials covers 3 tracked sites, Growth 5. A brand running regional sites or several product domains moves up fast.
- Keyword volume. 500 tracked keywords on Essentials is enough for one focused site. Tracking a full category portfolio pushes you to Growth (5,000) or Enterprise (60,000+).
- AI search tracking. AI Search credits appear from Growth. If your leadership wants reporting on how the brand shows up in AI answers, that sits in the higher tiers.
- Monitoring scale. Page monitoring is where Conductor is most generous; it rarely drives the price for a single site.
- Contract terms. Longer commitments and upfront payment usually lower the annual rate. Ask for the renewal cap in writing before you sign.
The former product name still shows up in searches for Conductor Searchlight price. Searchlight was the original platform name; it is now simply the Conductor platform, and the pricing model is the same quote-based one described above.
Is Conductor worth the price?
Conductor is worth the price for enterprise SEO programs that need one system for rank tracking across many sites, technical monitoring of hundreds of thousands of pages, AI search visibility reporting, and dashboards that executives read. At that scale the contract replaces several tools and some analyst hours, and the 24/7 monitoring alone catches costly accidents such as a noindex tag shipped to production.
It is harder to justify when the real job is narrower. If your organic traffic is sliding because published articles have gone stale, the work you need is a page-by-page rewrite plan: what the ranking pages cover that yours skips, which title to test, which internal links to add. Conductor tells you a page changed or dropped; turning that into a rewrite is still your team's job, and the Writing Assistant allowance (60 to 600 drafts a year) is sized for a steady flow of new content, not for refreshing a whole library. A team with 800 blog posts and a $49,000 budget question should check whether it needs an enterprise suite or a maintenance tool.
Conductor pricing compared with published-price tools
For teams whose main need is keeping existing content competitive, these are the tools that publish their prices. All prices are vendor list prices checked on each pricing page.
| Tool | Price | What it covers for existing pages |
|---|---|---|
| Conductor | Quote; buyer data median about $49,000 a year | 100,000+ monitored pages, 1,000+ pages analyzed, 60+ drafts a year |
| MarketMuse | Quote; last listed $99 to $499 a month | 100 to 10,000 tracked topics, 5 to 20 briefs a month |
| Clearscope | $129 or $399 a month | 50 or 300 tracked pages, 20 drafts a month |
| Surfer SEO | $49 to $299 a month billed yearly | 10 to 500 tracked pages, content audit |
| Search Atlas | $79 to $319 a month billed yearly | SEO suite with OTTO projects and site audits |
| Reoptimize | $49, $149, or $399 a month billed yearly | 100, 1,000, or 5,000 monitored pages with 20, 150, or 600 rewrite plans a month |
The comparison is not like for like, and it should not be read that way. Conductor is an enterprise platform with rank tracking, technical monitoring, and reporting that none of the content tools replace. The table answers a narrower question: if the line item is "keep our published content ranking", what does each option cost? For the full field ranked by job, see best content optimization tools, and for a per-page cost breakdown see content optimization platform pricing.
A published-price option for content that is losing traffic
Reoptimize does one part of what an enterprise SEO team needs, and prices it in the open. Import a sitemap and it monitors every page, ranks the declining ones by traffic at stake, and turns each into a rewrite plan: title and meta, the subtopics ranking pages cover and yours skips, heading order, internal links to add and from where, schema, and facts that date the page.
Starter is $49 a month billed yearly for 100 monitored pages and 20 rewrite plans. Pro is $149 a month for 1,000 pages, 150 plans, and 5 seats. Agency is $399 a month for 5,000 pages across several sites. Pro for a full year costs $1,788, which is under 4 percent of the median Conductor contract. See every plan on the pricing page, or paste one of your URLs into the analyzer at the top of this page to see a real plan first.
What Reoptimize does not do: rank tracking across tens of thousands of keywords, 24/7 technical monitoring, or executive SEO dashboards. If those are on your requirements list, run the Conductor demo. Many teams use both, with Conductor for the program view and a content decay checker plus rewrite plans for the writers doing the fixes.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Conductor cost?
Conductor does not publish prices; every plan is quoted. Buyer transaction data from Vendr puts the median contract at about $49,020 a year, with typical contracts from $30,000 to over $150,000 and mid-market deals between $40,000 and $70,000. The final number depends on websites, keywords, modules, and contract length.
What plans does Conductor offer?
Conductor lists three plans: Essentials (3 websites, 500 keywords, 100,000 monitored pages, 60 Writing Assistant drafts a year), Growth (5 websites, 5,000 keywords, 500,000 monitored pages, 180 drafts, 2,500 AI Search credits a year), and Enterprise (10+ websites, 60,000+ keywords, monitoring for any size, 600 drafts).
Does Conductor have a free trial?
The Essentials plan shows a "Try for free" button on Conductor's pricing page, so you can start a trial of the entry plan. Growth and Enterprise are sold through a demo request and a sales conversation, and their pricing is set in the quote rather than published.
Is Conductor pricing per seat?
No. Conductor describes its model as usage-based, "built around the value you get, not the seats you buy". The quote scales with tracked websites, keywords, competitors, pages analyzed and monitored, AI Search credits, and writing drafts, plus the modules and contract length you choose.
Is ContentKing part of Conductor?
Yes. Conductor acquired ContentKing in 2022, and its real-time technical monitoring now runs inside the Conductor platform as website monitoring. That is why every Conductor plan lists large monitored-page allowances, from 100,000 pages on Essentials to sites of any size on Enterprise.
What is a cheaper alternative to Conductor?
For rank tracking and site audits, Semrush and Search Atlas publish self-serve prices from about $79 to $500 a month. For keeping existing content ranking, Reoptimize starts at $49 a month billed yearly and monitors 1,000 pages with 150 rewrite plans on Pro at $149. Neither replaces Conductor's enterprise reporting.
