Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit pricing is $99 a month per user, with no free trial. That includes Prompt Tracking for 25 prompts on ChatGPT and Google AI Mode, Brand Performance reports for one domain, and one project. Extra prompts, extra domains and extra users are billed on top. Figures come from the vendor help page checked in October 2026, in USD excluding tax.

The toolkit measures how AI engines mention your brand. It does not edit the pages behind the gaps, so the rewriting needs its own budget. Below is what $99 buys, what pushes the bill up, and how it compares with other trackers.

What does the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit cost?

The toolkit costs $99 a month and requires a paid subscription from day one. The base license covers one user, one domain for Brand Performance analysis, and 25 tracked prompts. Every additional domain costs another $99 a month, and every additional user needs their own $99 license.

ItemPriceWhat you get
Toolkit license$99 a month1 user, 1 domain, 1 project, 25 prompts
50 extra prompts$60 a monthPrompt Tracking only
Extra domain$99 a monthAnother Brand Performance domain
Extra user$99 a monthA separate license per person

What does 25 prompts actually cover?

Twenty-five prompts is a short list. A SaaS company that wants to watch buyer questions about its category, pricing, three competitors and a few use cases will use that allowance quickly. Prompt Tracking covers Google AI Mode and ChatGPT only, so Perplexity, Gemini and Claude are outside the base plan. Semrush One plans bundle 50, 100 or 200 prompts, which changes the math if you already pay for the suite.

How much does a realistic setup cost?

Take a hypothetical team with two brands, three users and 75 prompts. The base license for the first user is $99. Two more users add $198. A second domain adds $99. Fifty extra prompts add $60. That totals $456 a month, or about $5,472 a year, before any rewriting work. A single marketer tracking one brand with 25 prompts pays $1,188 a year.

What the toolkit does not fix

A tracker shows that an answer skipped your brand. It does not rewrite the page that should have been cited. That page usually needs an answer-first opening, current prices, a comparison table, missing questions and cleaner schema. Reoptimize ranks your published pages by clicks at risk and writes a rewrite plan for each. Pro costs $89 a month billed yearly and covers 150 rewrite plans and 1,000 monitored pages. It does not track prompts or citations, so it pairs with a tracker rather than replacing one. Start with the content decay checker, or read the Reoptimize plans.

If your team also has to turn the findings into outbound campaigns, the AI marketing plan built from a single site address is a natural next step after the audit.

Standalone toolkit or a Semrush One plan?

The standalone license makes sense when you only want AI visibility and nothing else from Semrush. Semrush One bundles the toolkit with the wider suite and raises the prompt allowance to 50, 100 or 200 depending on the tier. If you already pay for keyword research, site audits and rank tracking, check your current plan before adding a $99 license, since the prompts may already be included. If you do not use the rest of the suite, a bundle only helps when the prompt count you need is above 25 and below what the add-on pack would cost.

How to size the prompt list before you buy

Start from buyer questions, not from keywords. Write down the questions a prospect asks before paying: the best tool for your category, your name against each main competitor, your pricing, and the two or three use cases that sell best. Most small SaaS teams land between 20 and 60 prompts. If you count under 25, the base license is enough. If you count 60, you need one 50-prompt pack at $60 on top, which makes the toolkit $159 a month. Past 100 prompts, compare the cost per prompt with Peec AI or Scrunch before committing, because a larger flat plan can undercut stacked add-ons.

Also decide how you will use the results. A report that nobody acts on is wasted money at any price. Assign each missing answer to a page, write the fix, and recheck after the page is recrawled.

Is the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit worth it?

It is worth it if you already live in Semrush, want a fast read on ChatGPT and Google AI Mode, and can work with a short prompt list. It is poor value for agencies that need many domains and users, since each one adds $99. Price your prompt list and headcount first, then pick the tracker.

Does the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit have a free trial?

No. The toolkit requires a paid subscription, so there is no free trial on the standalone $99 license. Check whether a Semrush One plan you already pay for includes prompts before buying the toolkit separately.

How many prompts are included?

The $99 license includes 25 tracked prompts. You can add 50 more for $60 a month, or get 50, 100 or 200 prompts through Semrush One Starter, Pro+ or Advanced.
